Bio:
"Dark and light,
Black and White,
evil and Justice,
corruption and purification."
These balanced attributes create the Essence of the very fabric
of our existence. For one to be whole, there must be an opposite.
For without an opposite, why have a purpose? Why exist? If there is nothing to oppose you, challenge you or push you to the edge of your capabilities. For many of the world we know, an opposite is undiscovered, unrealized. Only few can ultimately come to conclude that there may not be a purpose for their inferior existence, however, for many, fear engulfs their soul before they can realize that all this time, they were the only ones stood in the way of their own destinies. For one man, destiny is for told, but only in time, will it truly be revealed how big a part he will play in the ongoing wars and disputes among the races of Skalas.
This is the tale of Zerois Roebash
Zerois was born with ravacoless Syndrome, a deadly undiscovered virus that slowly shut down cells in the body one at a time while the life form is still alive. It wasn't until the age of 3 years until Zero's parents began to realize something was wrong. Under the care of kind hearted surgeons and treatment of medicines delivered from across the world, Zero began to heal, he grew to become educated and excelled in classes, however, his cell count was still depleting and he was given an estimated 3 years to live, quite possibly less, maybe more.
A young alchemist by the name of Renchfauld devoted years of his life to exploring the various effects of Zero's illness, the pose of threat to others and the patterns in which the cells was torn from life. Rench began to ponder the Possibility of the recreation of cells in the body. Rench began to look into an ancient myth of cell recreation, after discovering a small archive o books by a deceased author, the myth was revealed to somehow, using some concoction of various ingredients, a frightful antidote could be created and would somehow rejuvenate cells using energy collected through some form of supernatural transplant of matter. This being his only lead, Rench decided to investigate further.
Discovering various books written by long perished travelers, the search lead him to an ancient shrine in which a recipe, engraved in pure bedrock was discovered, a recipe written at the dawn of time, existing to the very day we speak of it. What Rench supposedly saw the day of discovery apparently changed his life forever, but somehow, to this day we still do not know how he retrieved the ingredients supposedly implied by the recipe, were needed to create the antidote. All that is known is that Zero was provided the cure. It seemingly failed however upon the day of what was to be Zero's final, 47 minutes before the infection was due to subside and leave the body with all cells slaughtered within, the remains of cells began to resonate with an absurd supernatural green glow and before 3 hours, Zero's life force was restored, somehow with all knowledge lost returned, every cell destroyed was recreated and he felt more alive than ever before. Unfortunately there is no evidence of Rench's existence from that day onward.
15 Years passed and Zero grew knowing only of an alchemist who saved his life, not how, not why, he just, did. Zero as a teen had lime green hair, darker shades ravaged around his ears and back of his neck, it was roughly spiked, not flat and dull, he thought it would make his head way too cubed. He wore a white shirt most of the time but would also wear various colors of cloth pants, usually ranging from brown to black and all the shades in between. They were long, and usually ragged, like his shirt, not very well presented and his posture was straight but he often slouched when tired.
Zero was quite the mischievous one as a child, he caused trouble in his home village of "Regarna" on a daily basis, from childish, immature pranks to some more risky, dangerous tasks, putting himself in grave danger, but something just snapped inside him when he took risks, like a rush, like an energy unlike any other. His eyes were dark brown, others would say maroon but he didn't really care, he was very lazy, slept a lot and fell asleep almost anywhere so it was rare to catch a glimpse of his eyes before he was gone.
His childhood was seemingly normal, his father, Reynold, worked at the local lumber mill and his mother, Maria, stayed at home where she would wash and prepare dinner for Zero and his father. They would sit and eat, they would go to sleep, they would wake up the next day and the cycle continued. Unfortunately, Zero was very intelligent, he was keen but had a heavy scale of trouble in his passed, this put him down, lowered his image in general and his social life was the same, his reputation had drove anyone who would even be able to relate to him away and left him to himself, this then allowed Zero to develop a sense of secrecy and not to trust anyone because they could turn on you at any moment. This lonesome time usually brought around the attention seeking mischief that invaded his actions, but with all the free time when not causing such drama in the village, he would practice his spellcasting skills.
He was exceedingly skilled in the art of magic, at a young age he was able to cast fireballs to light candles. He trained by himself. He tended to train against boars and pigs out in the fields but the odd one or two times, he would sneak into a small cavern off near the river away from the village, and throw a shred of rotten flesh towards the entrance. This would usually lore most of the undead creatures from their resting place and he would train against them instead. He tended to get wounded often and eventually his parents became suspicious of his increasing wounds but thought nothing of it after a few months. "Just childish banter" and that "he probably slipped while walking to the butcher's" they would say to themselves but little did they know, their son was becoming a truly swift and able spellcaster.
After the death of his parents 5 years later, Zero, now with no protection became an outcast and this eventually lead to his banishment. Not much else is known of him, only that he wasn't seen again by anyone in Regarna.
Now an unverified amount of time later, zero, weary, confused and dazed has washed up upon the shores of Skalas, staff missing, dressed in the green, slithering dress of seaweed and ragged cloth, drenched by the waters... he awakens.
Alone.
TL;DR:
-Zero get's ill, a heroic alchemist tracks down an ancient shrine and finds a cure, heals Zero and disappears.
-Zero is a teenage attention seeker, causing trouble in the village and has drove his friends away by his risky actions, he trains alone with evil creatures attemtping to improve his spellmanship yet his parents don't realise a thing.
-Banished from Regarna after his parents death and wakes upon the shores of Skalas an unverified amount of time later.
