Bio: From a young age, Mordekai was warned to never leave the water. "It's a dark and terrifying place up there," his mother had warned him, "You're safe down here."
His mother, however, wouldn't have said anything like this when Mordekai was a child. Mordekai was schooled on the surface and had made good friends, with the people who where open-minded enough to give him a chance. He was happy, but his happiness was not to last much longer. A battle was struck with a neighboring tribe and he was ripped from the life he once knew, into a life of hiding. The battle occured because one of the surface dwellers accused Mordekai's father of killing a member of another Jaska tribe. Mordekai's father died valiantly in battle, giving Mordekai and his mother a chance to flee to safety. His mother promised to teach him the transportation ability of the Sea Walker. But in her declining health, Mordekai's chance at Jaska enlightenment is looking slim. Now, Mordekai hopes to one day gain the courage to leave the water and venture once more to the surface.
