Story:
when Gerald Templer was 12 he and his family were traveling to the local town (which was an hour walk) to trade for supplies on the way a group of bandits jumped out of the bushes. They told his parents to give up all their valuables if they wanted to live, they gave them up and the bandits pulled out their swords and stabbed his parents. One of the bandits grabbed hold of Gerald which in response he slammed his foot into the bandits groin and ran away as fast as he could trying not to turn back and check on his parents to see if they were still alive. He fled back to his house hoping that his parents would turn up the next day but they didn't. His neighbour Henry Whitecliff who was a retired blacksmith checked up on him as he did not see his parents return and asked Gerald what happend, Gerald told the story while crying his eyes out. Henry decieded to take Gerald in and treated him like his own son. Henry taught Gerald how to craft weapons and armour.
When Gerald hit the age of 21 he was a skilled smithy and he was trained how to use a sword and how to surive in the wild, he decided to embark and his own journey in the world to explore and to try make a name of himself....
