So I was playing Magic: The Gathering and the muse struck me...
So here's the story so far. A thousand and six hundred years before the Skalas we all know and love, there was something else. There were these huge elemental humanoid creatures: Titans. Yeah, no joke! They were these huge dudes made of fire and water and all of that stuff. They ruled the world for about a thousand years and then disappeared.
Fast forward to present day Skalas. There's this nomadic tribe that lives way off the map. They call themselves 'The Researchers'. They are magic users and they use this magic to research the titans and how to bring them back. They've been able to bring back titans on a miniature scale but they are devoted to finding out everything about them. They live in these floating islands way out over the ocean so no one can disrupt their work. But they're there alright, alone and with their work; just how they like it.
Note: this is just a preliminary idea and if anyone has any ideas on how to fix/improve upon this idea please feel free to post them. All criticism is accepted. ;D
