This is an idea I had when thinking about how Jaska can breathe underwater. So I decided to write some Jaska lore. Hope you like.
The Sea Walkers are somewhat of a myth among the Jaska people. They are nomadic warriors who travel along the bottom of the sea, hunting fish and squid. They spend most of their time on the bottom of the sea, and only rise for battle. And when they go to battle, they aren't joking around. They only ever attack enemies of the Jaska. When attacking a town they rise up from the water, take the town by surprise, and slay any resistance. They slay only the men and any who fight them. It is rumored they turn the women of the places they attack into their mermaid brides. They fight with tridents, and use them to devastating effect.
Actual useful facts that aren't just lore:
1. They do exist
2. Berem lived with them for some time, and I'll work this into rp somehow, probably just as part of my back story.
3. They have the ability to use water as a portal to nearby water, so they can rise from puddles/your bathtub.
4. Berem can't do that.
5. They do actually make some women into mermaid brides, but most of the time they just let the women and children go.
