What are the rules for being independent of a kingdom? Is it possible to join necro?

You cant be independant of a kingdom, you must choose a faction.

There are 6 different things you can be: Wizard (taken) Necromancer (taken) Kingdom member (closed) Tyranny member (closed) FoT Ranger (closed) Republic member (open)

Of course, you can make up a position as long as it is realistic. Well no, you can't. Not exactly. You can make up a realistic position within a city state, but you can't make one outside of one until we actually have a good number of people inside each CS.
