It would be cool if we had some kind of shrine (maybe on the other island) with a giant tree. Have NPCs around our village, not elves but tree spirits, who's power come from the giant tree. We could make them target the Woras or something. On the other hand the Woras have lived where they are for over 100 years, it doesn't make sense that there are only 2 of them. So how about putting some guards there and some townsfolk.
The reason they would be targeting Woras is cuz now my character doesn't feel safe, with a crazy guy heavily armored trying to kill him. Plus he talked about war between the elves, so he won't take any chances.

Don't you have full iron armor and a bunch of magic? On npcs, I'd say no to having them but I won't argue if everyone wants them. If we do get them I say just use them as guards, and if we do that please make the guards in the underwater Jaska village attack the squid. darn things are everywhere.

NPCs could and should be used as population buffers to at least aesthetically prevent the Aurora issue.

Already been done, the wora city is filled with NPCs, the elven forest is filled with tree spirits, and the human city... not yet.

Then do it to the human city, unless it hasn't been constructed yet. The cities should have constant populations -- that is, when a new member joins, an NPC is deleted to make room for him.

Is only a village right now, Umune is trying to make it look like a city... but it looks... ummm... very... too much usage of stone-based materials, you'll know what I mean if you see it.

Use wooden scaffholding or other wooden supports then. Now that fences automatically connect to blocks, they can be used for all kinds of support-y needs.

Yeah I was thinking about doing that since I have a shop. I don't really like the stony look, especially the most ugly Nickleback fountain that's right in front of my store. Umune, either make it look like an actual fountain or... just make it look like a fountain oh and use some wood for building from time to time.

Well, I'm surprised to see this from Umune unless he has an agenda involving lots and lots of fire later on. He also may just have a weird-ass texture pack that makes stone and stone and stone look good. If he outright stops you from using wood then you should probably listen to him...

Weird-ass texture pack? Quite. I'm using a texture pack that is pretty similar to the standard. But this digresses and really shouldn't turn into a nerdrage fest. edit: I still don't like how the fountain turned out, just fyi. Probably going to change that. (haven't really had the opportunity lately)
