Skills like McMMO skills suck. I say we instead get dnd-esque stats strength- increased melee damage dexterity- increased ranged damage intelligence- increased magic damage (don't know if that's possible) wisdom- decreased magic redstone cost endurance- increased block chance and/or increased armor value And maybe some others. Each race could have modifiers, like elves get pluses to wisdom and dexterity, humans strength and intelligence, wora endurance and dexterity, and jaska dexterity and strength What would happen is that the average is say 10, with racial modifiers. Then people have x extra amount of points to spend. They could also take points out of some to have more points to add to others. More than 10 points in a skill is a buff, less than 10 is a debuff. I think the easiest way to then implement this would have people make their stats when making their bios, and people who can mess with the server files just plugin in their stats somewhere and bam! People have different skills in combat. This would also make things like a wora or jaska mage or an elf warrior more possible because people could change their stats to what they want. It would also prevent people like me from being amazing at everything, which I really shouldn't be in rp.

I think what billy meant was that you get a more percentage of parry/dodge with skills, i think. But I like your thinking.

Operating upon Blob's idea: - Strength - melee damage. Maybe jump height boost...
- Dexterity - ranged damage. Maybe ranged speed as well.
- Intellect - magic damage and/or lower magic failure chance.
- Memory - spell slots.
- Endurance - health or damage resistance
- Agility - speed and/or block/dodge chance
I like the racial buffs idea, that way every race should be (theoretically) equal. Just a matter of balancing the stats buffs. Then again, I don't know how difficult this would be to code, so that could potentially cause complications.

Yeah, maybe it would count for several points to offset its possibly huge effects. This is all still rough and untried, so I am just putting out some more ideas.

Also, I like the stats system. Will they be fixed, or will a character be able to acquire more? Idea: we could have skill point addition every week/month/two weeks/whatever.

That would just create a system where there is a huge disparity between old players and newer ones, like EvE online only far worse....

Explain the benefits of wisdom, and explain how it is different than intellect, and then your argument may have some logic behind it.

Wisdom and intellect. . . . ? Wisdom and Memory, Wisdom is traditional and sounds better than memory. And Wisdom and Intellect are different things as well. . . . .

Except, your ideas for the skills were better. And Umune's were better still.

It seems to me that the only ability elves have is more spell slots. Memory could basically destroy what makes the elves different. Maybe they should also get a significantly lower magic failure rate but that could be offset by Intellect.
Also ban respiro. That ought to be jaska-only.
